| | I received the gift cards! | | So I started a discussion a while ago about how I was able to win a Starbucks gift card from the website rewardtv. I received the gift card yesterday. It was two Starbucks gift cards and in each of them it has $5. I'm pretty happy about that because at least I know that the website does pay and is legit. When I opened the envelope yesterday I had no idea what was inside but then when I saw it my mouth dropped open. I am really happy right now. So if anyone else is a part of this site this is to tell you that the site is legit and you should keep on using it. If you don't know what the site is then add me as your friend and send me your email so I can send you an invitation. It's really cool site and you could get a lot of gift cards. | | I am hurting so badly at the hands of my daughter and her family.... | | I have posted before about the problems I had with my daughter and her family when they stayed with me for nine months. It seems like it is still haunting me seven months after I got them moved out of my house.For those who missed my previous posts, I'll try to be brief when I fill you in. My daughter called a year ago Memorial Day weekend asking if they could come up and stay for a "few" days. Right off the bat their van blew the engine and I had to go pick up my daughter, son in law, the son in law's uncle, and my two grand daughters...oh and their two cats.
I got them home and my daughter calmly announced that they would be staying until they got their bills caught up. They NEVER get their bills caught up!!! They have been married for almost 14 years and out of that time they probably have lived away from either his mom or me for the sum and total of 3 years!
The nightmare started. I lost control over my home and was told what I could and couldn't do in my home. I wasn't able to watch any of my television shows, close down the house and go to bed at a sane hour, reprimand my grand daughters, or have much say in anything. | I won another gift card! | | So I started a discussion before about me winning a gift card on this site called rewardtv.com. What happens is that you take surveys on shows that you have watched the day before. You can then use those points for auctions, sweepstakes, and shopping spree. So the shopping spree occurs twice in a week. The last time I was able to get a $10 Starbucks gift card. There is only a limited number of gift cards that they put up during each shopping spree. They always have three different gift from different places. I wont the Starbucks card but I haven't received it because it takes time. So hopefully I'll receive it soon.So to get to my point yesterday I was able to buy another gift card with my points. I was so surprised because I thought that i wasn't going to get it because the first time was just probably luck. So I was able to get a $5 KFC gift card. Which is enough to buy me a few Snackers which I love oh so much. | | I won a gift card from Rewardtv!!!! | | I am shocked right now and can't believe that I actually won. And I won a gift card that I wanted really badly. I won the $10 Starbucks gift card. I didn't win anything last week but this week I was able to win something this week. So I went to the site at 4:00 pm and I closed all the other windows and tabs that I had opened so that when I refreshed the page it wouldn't take a long time. My hands were shaking and I was breathing really heavily. My heart was pounding and my eyes were wandering from the time in my computer to the picture of the Starbucks card. When it hit 4:29 I refreshed the page and nothing happened. I refreshed it again and wham! It was 4:30 and I was able to buy the gift card with my 300,000 points. | I am one crazy chick... | | Okay so I'm a member of rewardtv.com. This is a site where you take surveys and earn points. These points can then be redemmed for sweepstakes, auctions and shopping spree. I only participate in the sweepstakes and sometimes in the shopping spree. So today in the shopping spree they had for sale a $5 Pizza Hut gift certificate, a $10 Chili's gift card, and a $10 Target gift card. So I really wanted the Target gift card so I could give it to my mother. So I've been waiting since four o'clock with a browser open on that page. So the thing is that there is a limited number of gift cards that they have. And for the target card they only had 15. So you would have to refresh your page and keep refreshing it so you could get there at the exact time. Today's time was 5:00 pm. I got there and then when I refreshed it the last time. I Was in!! Only if I want it free in december! | | I do GPT, surveys and such and have been cashing them out these last months and have gotten some really nice things and a nice chunk of cash (that goes into savings!) but now, JUne is my start date for my "march to a free christmas". I have done this for 2 years now and it works so great!For the sites that pay in points and you collect points an then redeem them for gift cards or cash - those sites I leave the points to collect until November - then I go shopping! THey have gift cards for most any store you can think of! I didn't use to like Gift cards (in my day it was called GIft certificates!) but lately they have come to be my best friend. | | Cashback or Giftcard? Latte Factor Hits Home! | | I have earned $40 cashback on my Discover card. I can get a $45 Starbucks gift card instead of getting cash and stretch my money further. I love Starbucks and it's a special treat for me and I only go when I have a gift card.However, this year, I've been saving all the extra cash I find each month (outside my normal pay check) and investing it or paying it towards debt. I ran a few calculations and if I paid that extra $40 towards my home equity loan, it would save $197 in interest over the life of my loan. Talk about your latte factor!Who would have ever thought how you elect to spend $40 could make such a big difference.What would you do? | Jam Packed week for me! | | So this week will be jampacked. Let me break each day down for you. So on Monday I go to my internship from 10:00 to 3:30 and I have to do a lot of labels for some brochures. I have to send out the brochures to a whole list of people. And I want to do all of them this week so that we are on track. On Tuesday I have to go to my evening class which is from 6:00 to 8:45. On Thursday I go back to my internship for the same amount of time as on Monday. Then on Friday I have to go to an event that deals with my internship that starts at 7:00 pm and I don't really know at what time it ends. On Saturday I have to take care of the two kids that I started to take care of yesterday. And then I want to meet up with my best friend on Sunday to hang out before she leaves for college on Tuesday. Now it may not seem like a jam packed week but in between all of this I have to get a few things done for class. I need to do my math homework and the math teacher always gives a quiz every week because it's online. Then I have to finish reading this book for my global crossings class. I have 84 pages to read and then I have to take a quiz based on that, and then participate in the discussion board... | |
