My other hope will be my relatives give us some cash to help offset the first month of daycare for my 2 year old. | | Buying Presents For Elderly Parents, What do you buy yours? | | My father's 66 bday is coming up in Feb. There is going to be a big bday bash for him. I need to think of a really good present. I tend to like to give him gift cards because he doesn't need a lot of things I might normally buy for present. Plus he doesn't live close to us anymore so it is hard transporting some presents. However, the gift card thing has been a little overdone. Also in the past, he has let them expire. I once found $50. worth of restaurant gift certificates in a suit pocket that had expired. We can't afford to get something expensive like a trip. I would really like it to be something really nice. He already has a cell phone, computer and stuff like that.
