| Received my GiftCard from Mypoints | | I requested to get a Chilies GiftCard after reaching so many points on Mypoints. It actually came with in a couple of weeks. This site is great and you have so many choices for redeeming your points. I wish you could get cash, but a giftcard is just as good now a days. Mypoints is a great website. | |
| | | Cashback or Giftcard? Latte Factor Hits Home! | | I have earned $40 cashback on my Discover card. I can get a $45 Starbucks gift card instead of getting cash and stretch my money further. I love Starbucks and it's a special treat for me and I only go when I have a gift card.However, this year, I've been saving all the extra cash I find each month (outside my normal pay check) and investing it or paying it towards debt. I ran a few calculations and if I paid that extra $40 towards my home equity loan, it would save $197 in interest over the life of my loan. Talk about your latte factor!Who would have ever thought how you elect to spend $40 could make such a big difference.What would you do? Would you treat yourself to Starbucks or stay disciplined and put the extra payment towards reducing debt? | |

| | I saw an ad for a 500. giftcard for walmar today ...... | | Ok here's the deal the person had a 500.00 gift card, and she had 5 auctions, only 1 auction winner would get the gift card, and the others would get a 'prize of cents on up to 20.00.The way the auction was worded was that you were bidding on an ENVELOPE, that was numbered 1-5, and only one of the auctions had teh actual gift card, no amounts were the same, and all amounts outside of the gift card were a mystery.Do you think people should be allowed to run auctions like this, because while they do not call it a lottery or a sweepstakes that's basically what you are winning, the money if you don't get the gift card is deposited in your PayPal account, and you don't even get a tangible envelope with the money in it.In order to win the gift card you would have to bid on all 5 auctions and win them all.So are aucitons like this right?Mooch | |
| | Barnes&Nobles GiftCard..the jerks! | | ok i am venting my now considerable frustration about Barnes&Nobles.com (www.bn.com)!! i have 2 gift cards..one for $30 and one from last xmas that has $5.10 left on it.
i just ordered $42 worth of books and was happy to finally be able to utilize the remaining 5.10 on the old card..NOPE!! they will only let you use ONE gift card per online order!!WTF?!!
So basically that 5.10 is going right into the trash! i admit that its only 5 bucks, but still! thats almost the price of a whole book!
amazon.com lets you use multiple giftcards why the hell cant B&N?? honestly..what do you think the reason behind that "rule" is? | |

| | My first gift card........... | | I recieved my first MyPoints gift card on Friday, February 6, 2009. I requested it on January 12, 2009. It was a $10.00 Walmart giftcard. I thought this site was a waste of time for a while but now I know different. It may only be $10.00 but it will help a lot with diapers, wipes, etc. I'm just so excited to have another legit site that I had to share it with everyone.
