when was the last time you told someone thank you?
Today on my job i was presented with a small gift of a $6.00 blockbuster gift card, 2 coke colas, and a bag of popcorn. It even had a thank you card that read our event would not have been successful without your help thanks so have a movie date night with your wife. You know it isn't the size of the gift that matters rather it is the thought behind the gift that truly matters.WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU TOLD SOMEONE THANK YOU?
Do you give gift cards for Christmas?
I used to give gifts all the time, but you know how it goes with gifts. Sometimes people like them, sometimes not so much. I know when I receive gifts, many of them son't suit me, so I re0gift them, sell them, or donate them. Do you give gift cards for Christmas? I have found that this works really well for me and my family. I give a restaurant gift card to one person, to her favorite restaurant, and she loves it and uses it, and looks forward to it every year. To another I give a blockbuster gift card, because he really loves to rent movies. To another I give a Wal Mart gift card because they have lots of needs and they can go to a super center and buy groceries, clothes, pet food or whatever they need. I personally would much rather get a gift card or cash for Christmas, that way I can pick out exactly what I want or need, and there is no waste.
The American media once again proves to be complete garbage.
I'm sure everyone here has now read the threads about Obama's cheapass gift to Gordon Brown of 25 DVDs after receiving priceless gifts of historical significance. Well I thought the story sounded too ridiculous to be true. I HAD to look it up. I HAD to research it. I figured it couldn't be real. They must have left something out. So what did I find in my search?ONE, yes ONE American news agency reported on it. I'm sure you can all guess who that one news agency was. I'll give you a hint, it wasn't MSNBC, ABC News, or CNN. Every other news agency reporting it was based in the UK. FYI folks, the British are NOT happy about this and they are NOT amused. Now they'll see that not only does our president have so little respect for their prime minister, but our own media, who many think represents us as much as the president, doesn't even care enough to report it. They are just going to ignore it and bury it the same way they do every other stupid or questionable thing he does. I am thoroughly disgusted with the media... again.Thank you Fox News for not joining everyone else in their goal to be the U.S. equivalent of...
Does America owe Great Britain a huge apology for Obama's ...???
To all Americans and our global brethren abroad,Do you think that America owes Great Britain an apology? I believe that every American should be embarrassed by Obama's first reception of a foreign dignitary. Allow me explain ...As shocking as it is to believe; Obama 'dissed' the British Prime Minister, and the People of Great Britain, one of our most cherished allies -- not once, not twice, but three times -- all in a matter of a three weeks! First, Obama returned the Winston Churchill bust that was loaned to GW Bush, in stewardship for the American People (read about the specifics below). Then, Obama failed to come clean about his boneheaded 'plan' tonot extend to Prime Minister Brown the traditional (full dress) joint press conference in the East Room. Then, the third 'dis' showed Obama to be the oaf that he really is: Obama ponied up a caddish, cheezy gift that probably could have been purchased from any "KMart" to P.M. Brown's very classy, very thoughtful, very traditionally respectful gifts. My goodness, shouldn't every official dignitary of every global ally be treated with traditional respect and honors? How would the people of France,...
One year anniversary with company- appropriate gift?
Help myLot friends! I need suggestions for gift giving. My husband and I own a landscape maintenance company. It is still somewhat small and growing. However, this month we have a customer that has been with us for one year. It's our first one! I would really like to figure out a gift to send to customers when they have reached that milestone. I can't figure something out in the price range that seems appropriate, though. I wanted to spend no more than $5 - $10, and I would like for the gift to be something that I can send to each customer who reaches the one year mark. I have ruled out Starbuck's cards because of the high Mormon population in our city. I was thinking a Blockbuster gift certificate. Any other ideas? I also want it to be something I can send easily through the mail rather than having to deliver it. Thanks in advance!
