| | Crazy Critters product review! | | I did not buy the product advertised on TV but saw a similar one at Bed, Bath and Beyond. A sales lady saw me looking and I asked her if I could return it if Gus tore it up and she said yes, anything in the store can be returned for any reason. So I took a deep breath and put it in my cart--at $9.99, that's no cheap toy but the return policy convinced me.It's been a week and this flimsy-looking toy is still going strong!! Gus has tremendous jaw strength and when he gets hold of something and shakes it or plays tug with me he about pulls my arm out of the socket! He has really put this toy through the wringer but it is still intact, albeit missing a bit of its fake fur. The squeakers are still firmly ensconced on each end and the only problem is that Cookie wants one, too. I think this toy is pretty tough! For a toy to last a week in this household is almost a miracle.I would recommend this toy for medium sized or small dogs. I'm not sure about larger dogs, though. Note: Gus is a Boston Terrier, 37 pounds, strong jaws, very tall and long for a BT just as they originally bred them. So you know it's not only small dogs that can enjoy this. | |
| | What is Your Favorite Store? | | Mine is Bed Bath and Beyond! And they have 20% off coupons all the time and they allow you to use expried ones and they alow you to use a coupon on each item you buy (most stores only allow you one coupon per visit!) They have so much and all different, unusual yet practical and just a lot of new things. I like just wandering in the store. Second favorite and only cause it is so far away - Ikea. | | I LOVE my new Mr Coffee Frappe maker | | So I admit, I'm a coffee addict. Even almost 33 weeks pregnant, I still need my coffee. A few weeks before Christmas, I saw an ad for the Mr Coffee Frappe and thought it would be a cool kitchen toy to have, but sorta pricey. I mentioned this to my Mom and for one of our Christmas presents she sent us a giftcard to purchase one. Yesterday afternoon I headed over to bed, bath and Beyond with my giftcard and a 20% off coupon (saved $16!) to buy my new toy. I get home and make 1 Mocha frappe and it was okay. I figured that this would happen based on reviews I had read of the machine and just knowing that when you get a new appliance, you have to get used to it.Roll forward to today. I skipped my morning coffee and had juice instead. My husband gets up and starts asking about making Frapps. Here is everything we made today (the coffee didn't change b/c we were trying to determine how many times we could use the same coffee grounds and the frappe still taste okay):

| | I got in a fight with a screwdriver | | I was trying to put together a couple of rocking chairs that I recently purchased, but somehow these supposedly easy to assemble pieces are giving me a really hard time. I completely stripped this screw and now I can't get it out so I can replace it. Any advice? I know there was an as seen on tv product that is supposed to fix that but I can't remember what it is for the life of me. I might try and find it at walgreens or bed bath and beyond, but does anyone know what it is? Or how I can get it out without buying something new? | |

| | The case of the missing bras | | About a month ago, I bought a bra at Kmart. The next day I went to look for the bag and I couldn't find it. I looked all over and still couldn't find it, so I figured I must have left the bag on the subway or something. Yesterday, I went to TJ Maxx and bought 2 bras, then I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and I remember still holding the TJ Maxx bag. Both of these stores are across the street from me. Well I can't find the new bras either. I can find the Bed, Bath and Beyond bag, but not the TJ Maxx one. I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone. Has this ever happened to you? I am so frustrated! | |
