I have found if I slice the top back fin the full length that after fried I can peel the entire side off with few bones. I enjoy the flavor so much that it is worth the trouble. | | Flavor Injectors | | Have you ever tried these?Saturday while browsing through a store I saw the line of marinades made by Cajun Injector, specifically for injecting into roasts to add flavor. I decided to buy one to give it a try.It came with a syringe type needle to inject the marinade into the meat. I bought the garlic and herb flavored marinade. I tried it out tonight on a pork roast.It was delicious! I used about 3 or 4 ounces, injected it into 4 or 5 different spots on the roast, and it came out wonderfully. It was not overpowering, actually you couldn't even really make out the exact flavor. It just added a little something to the roast so that it wasn't plain, ole, boring pork! I love it and I plan on buying more flavors and continuing to use it!Normally when I make a pork roast the only thing I can think to do is put seasoning on the outside of the roast, but that doesn't help! I end up cutting away at the seasoning because of the fat on the outside of the roast, and what I'm left with is plain ole pork with no flavor! | | Thanksgiving...what do you eat. | | Our family gets together every year at thanksgiving. There are the staples, like turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn and the like. In recent years my dad discovered deep frying turkeys.This seems to be a booming industry. Outdoor shops like bass pro shops and cabelas sell fryers designed exclusively for deep frying whole turkeys. You inject the turkeys with seasoning and fry them. Turkey has never been so tender and juicy. The flavors jump out at you like i've never tasted before. Just curious who else has tried this and any other unique thanksgiving culinary ideas. | |

I think men generally hate shopping but they go along to please their wife or girlfriend. | | the pickup dog...hahah! u will love this!!! | | I just saw teh funniest thing i have ever read that my friend sent me and i must share it with you! U HAVE TO CHECK OUT THE PIC!! PLZZ!! U WILL LOVE IT!!A lady was telling her neighbor that she saw a man driving a pick-up truck down the interstate, and a dog was hanging onto the tail gate for dear life! She said if the pick-up truck driver hadn't been going so fast in the other direction, she would have tried to stop him.
A few weeks later, her neighbor saw this truck at the Bass Pro Shop. The pick-up truck driver is a local taxidermist with a great sense of humor! And it is not a dog it is a coyote.
Now I hope i dont offend anyone with this cause its not my intentions what so ever,but i can just imagine how many people tried stopping the guy,i know if it was me i would..hell id be on the phone with the 911 freaking out lol..so if thsi was you and u saw this passing you or vice versa what would you do? | |
| | Now I sit here and wait, the really "neat" part of my job | | I think when I die and I'm sent off to purgatory for living an immoral life my cross to bear will be that I sit and wait for hours on end for something to happen and it never happens. This is the part of my job that I can do without, the uncertainty of waiting. I have to wait for the Fish Hatchery that keeps the 108 pound catfish to call me and let me know when the tanker top will show up to pick up the fish.
The fish, by the way, will be on display at the Bass Pro Shop in Concord, NC.
So I sit here and wait for the call. I can't go anywhere until he calls so it's like waiting on the cable guy to show up. He could call in 10 minutes or he might call in two hours.
